Hugs....
Recently received news of the passing on of a good friend's father. He too lost the battle to liver cancer. Unfortunately, I was not able to be there in person for her as I was ill throughout the weekend. I called her shortly after the wake and cremation, she sounded ok but we had a long chat as she wanted to share with me her experiences. In a way, it's her way of dealing with the stress, anguish and grief that was bottled up inside.
Now, we both have something in common, and like those out there, who lost someone dear to cancer. We both know what it felt and we were overwhelmed by the emotional journey and at the same time, cleansing of our spirits and assurance that all is taken care of. I just wanted to say: You are not alone, there are many who's lives has been affected by cancer. Don't be afraid, and most importantly, when it's time to say good bye, say it like you mean, and it will help you and the dearly departed, so he/ she can move on and you too.
A hug to all those who has lost someone very dear to cancer...
