Be my Valentine...

Feb 14th... Valentine's day. In all seriousness, I don't understand why they chose such a date to express one's love to another. If you really love someone, every day will be a valentine's day... Albeit the chocolates, expensive roses and posh dinners...

So what gives? :P probably someone must have commercialized this day to be a day of celebrating love, just like Easter Day, Passover Day, Christmas, New Year's eve... Chinese New Year, Aid Fitri, Deepavali, etc... Come to think of it, this commercialism on such events have made it so insignificant that we have forgotten why we celebrate these important events...

Let's just go back to the basics... shall we? A flower picked from the fields with a sincere heart full of love... a token of one's affection and a seal to seal a bond that would last a life time.... So what's your valentine's day going to be like? An expensive candle lit dinner for two in a posh upscale restaurant or a quiet evening, with simple home made cooking, flowers of any kind and a pledge to devote to each other  for as long as you both live...

Anyways, Happy Valentine's day... May your valentine's be an unforgettable valentine...
