We had food, we had fun, we had good times at Online...

I must apologize for this late entry. Had morning appointments too many for today, now on with today's post. SC made plans with me to meet up with she and her hubby, B at this place called Online. I've been there once and the place is the kind of bar where everybody knows your name, You know; kind of like the sit com 'Cheers!' where everyone knows everyone. Online is one of the oldest speakeasy for PJ. It's been around for 18 years! It's nestled in the quiet suburbs of Damansara Kim, a few blocks away from The Supertanker Chinese restaurant. So the evening, after a hectic tuesday (felt like a monday) schedule; I text messaged ASD asking him where he was, He said he was at the curve with S and Nut. ASD and S were going to gym, Nut's working out too. . .
So I went over to the curve later after their gym and asked them if they would like to join me for dinner at Online. Both ASD and Nut had never heard of or been to Online, It would be a nice thing. S has heard of it and she reckons she knows where the place is. Gave them directions, Went into Nut's car and off we go. Nut stopped by at his regular laundromat to collect his laundry, He told me that he's not going to post a blog today as he was chairing an event on cyberterrorism. So folks, you have to wait for tomorrow. When we arrived at the border of Taman Tun and Damansara Kim, ASD and S were still trying to find the pub. Finally we all arrived and we settled ourselves nicely.
We wait for SC and her hubby. When she and her hubby finally arrived. I thought she looked rather familiar. After our introduction and we all settled and the food ordered, that's when it hit me. She looked like my dentist at a dental clinic I used to go in MV. . . I asked her are you the Dr. . . at . . . then she looked at me and said, 'You looked familiar. . .' OMG! She's my dentist! She said: "OMG! You're my ex patient!" So, SC is my dentist, my really skilled good dentist! It was an unexpected reconnection. 6 degrees of separation!

She pre-ordered Pork Ribs with Guiness beer earlier. While waiting for the food to arrive, we chatted about Feng Shui and how it could help people enhance their lives. When the food arrived, I was ready to dive in. The big plate of Hokkien Mee was humongous!

The chef made the dish for 8 person. And next came 2 plates of pork ribs, and finally the spicy fried bee hoon. S loves spicy and hot food. So under their recommendation, she ordered the spicy hot dish. The Bee hoon was so - so. Unlike the last time I tried it, It was freaking HOT and I was working up a sweat by the time I finished the noodles. The pork ribs was very good! Well, any meat would taste out of this world as I just ended my sabbatical.
Didn't managed to take a picture of the porks because it was too good, everyone finished it. So after dinner; Nut, ASD and S decided to play a game of Pool while I chatted more with SC and B. The 'girls' had a giggling session as they played the 1st game. Later, Choowie dropped by and he brought along some of his friends and they ordered drinks. The evening was pleasant as everyone was just catching up and having a great time. . .

Nut adjusting the balls before the game starts. . .
ASD making the 1st break.

Nut trying to finish the game. . .
Her majesty won the 1st game, then it was my turn, Me against ASD. Sad to say, my pool skills have degenerated after years of not playing or practicing. We had a long match. In the end, ASD won. After the 3rd game; which ASD won, Nut and ASD joined back in the group and we were all reminiscing about our childhood and all the TV programs that we could remember, reason being they were playing a lot of 80s music and oldies. It was fun. Judging from what went around the table, I have concluded that we were TV junkies and we listened to a lot of music. Nut even went further by singing a snippet from Right said Fred's 'I'm too sexy . . . ' All of us were bawled over, He even laughed at himself. That's her majesty. . .
By the time the last beer was drank, it was past midnight, We left online and since it was kind of SC (Thanks very much) of her and her hubby to treat us this great meal, we're making a point to come back to online for another meal . . . We had fun, We had great food, We had it all at Online...

The place is just well . . . cozy, and warm. Nut thought it was cool but if he owned this joint, he would have it done shanghai 30s style with turquoise and pink walls.... :)
Yes, it was fun, wasn't it? Glad you guys had a good time..
