ASD found his Upekka!

Yesterday, after my last appointment, I decided to try the food at Upekka cafe, as I didn't had the opportunity to try it during my sabbatical weeks. I decided to call ASD to see if he was free. At the same time, I wanted to show him the house in S.E.A Park which he had lived in the neighborhood before. Picked him up from Bangsar as he was hanging out at a friend's place, We called Nut to see if he would be free to join us, He was downtown with Pins. So we headed to my soon to be house. ASD liked the neighborhood and thought that it was very convenient as the house was very near to the Taman Paramount L.R.T Station.

After the viewing, we headed to Upekka. As usual, Upekka was quiet with a few tables. The afternoon was cloudy and breezy. We found a nice spot to sit and Janice took our orders. ASD ordered the Fish and Chips. Janice then suggested that he takes the Wednesday set of the day:
Mushroom soup with croutons, Fish and Chips and Ice Lemon Tea. I decided to try out their Chicken Burger and my drink was Ipoh White Tea. ASD was really hungry. . .

When the soup arrived, ASD took a sip and he was smiling. He said it was good. My turn to try out the soup. The soup tasted of wild white button mushrooms with crispy croutons. He took a few more spoonful then he said he's saving his space in the tummy for his main course. The chef, (french guy!) came with our main course. The fish and chips looked good with lots of french fries, some cucumbers and tartare sauce. My burger arrived with coleslaw and french fries. The coleslaw is made up of purple and white cabbage. My first bite on the burger, the chicken patty is succulent, juicy and marinated well. It's added with spices and has a zesty texture.

ASD's fish & chips!

My chicken burger

ASD took his bite on the fish and chips. He approved silently and gave his cute boy next door grin. We swapped our dishes. ASD continued with the burger, he relished it with joy. The fish although was slightly thin but nevertheless was deep fried to perfection. It's crispy on the outside and tender in the inside. The fries were something too. . . It's fried to golden yellow and very crispy. . . The whole meal was sumptuous. After our meals, we hang out while we surf online. . .  I think ASD liked the place very much and he agreed that the food is great. Reasonably priced and nice ambiance. He would recommend S to come and try as she lives near by.

Later the evening, the weather looked like it's going to pour like cats and dogs. We packed up and left Upekka. . . ASD looks emancipated and glowing. . . He definitely has found his inner peace . . with fish and chips and chicken burger.

Hi Hi . . .

We all can go makan after work, preferably a day where there's no gym so we don't have to rush. . .

Just let everyone know which day is the day gym is off limits... we shall then have our gastronomic mis-adventures @ Upekka
